Rich is the Research Nurse Manager for the Clinical and Translational Research Unit at Stanford University. In this role he leads and coordinate the clinical operations and functions within the center, under the direct supervision of the Director with an emphasis on providing clinical care while supervising, evaluating, and training research staff. Some of his roles include managing clinical research operations with a focus on patient safety for first-in-human trials; applying medical knowledge and experience to oversee and direct clinical course of research participants in clinical trials; and overseeing and administering the physical health assessments, medications and treatments throughout the study. Rich is a compassionate caregiver, and for the COVID19 Saliva Study he is administering vaccines to volunteers in the J and J clinical trial.
