COVID19 Vaccine Study

Main content start

Antibodies that circulate through the blood differ from secreted antibodies (i.e. in the nose or saliva) which protect mucosal tissues. We are profiling the secreted antibodies to get a better understanding of immune responses to SARS-CoV-2. The first coronavirus vaccine trials have shown tremendous efficacy at reducing symptoms of disease, but we still don't know if once vaccinated people could still get infected and be contagious, asymptomatically. Our study will profile secreted antibodies from saliva, and compare them to antibodies circulating in the blood. Have you participated in a vaccine trial for SARS-COV-2/COVID? Would you be willing to donate a saliva sample for a study that will profile the functionality of secreted antibodies? Please contact us at: COVID19_Saliva_Study@stanford.edu
